Good/Bad Week
I debated posting my weigh-in, but finally decided it was best to do so. I had a great week with family, but a bad week(end) diet wise. But, I am not going to let it get me down. This next week is going to be bad also, but I am just going to have to do my best to not totally back slide. A few interesting things happened this weekend. First, on Christmas day, I saw my husband’s brother, sister and their families, none of which I had seen for a few months. They were all amazed.
Then, my mom told me on Saturday that 1/1/09, she was going to get back on the WW plan because I was her inspiration. That made me feel so good. Then, my mother-in-law, who knows the world revolves around her, told me as she was leaving, “I guess the next time we see you, you’ll be Twiggy.” I know that what I’m about to say is so wrong, but I can’t help it. It made my day to know that I made that woman soooooo jealous.
Last night, I tried to snack like I used to, but found out I just can’t do it anymore. I didn’t even snack as much as I used to and I still felt sick as I went to bed last night. No more of that for me.
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and may your New Year be even better. Please stay safe this week!

Isn’t it great when others notice your weight loss? And it’s so powerful that you inspired others to get moving. As for the jealousy thing…I know someone who also believes the world revolves around her, and she was very jealous of my weight loss, and it felt good to me too. It’s not wrong. Maybe it will inspire some change in them as well.
Sounds like you are doing great, so don’t let a Christmas set back discourage you!
Thanks for the comment MJ. I’m not letting it get me down, but instead, it is motivating me to “step-up”. I leave for vacation on 1/31 and I wanted to be 60 pounds down by that date. That gives me 4 weeks to lose 16 pounds. While that may seem difficult, it is not entirely impossible. I can do it!
Glad you had a wonderful holiday Melissa!
Girl, the more you lose, the more haters will come out of the wood work. You are doing a great job!
Christmas is done and overwith. Now it’s time for NEW YEAR AND A TWIGGY YOU!
Great attitude about the gain. We still need to enjoy life…just have to be strong and get back on track quickly. I cant eat like i used to either…which is great, but still can be much better.
Enjoy those compliments too
